Congratulations, Cambodia won the case on April 10, 2019 against the European Commission decision to revoke the tariff preferences for the import of Indica Rice from Cambodia to the European Union.

The European Union (EU) tribunal’s November 9, 2022 ruling states that the European Commission’s imposition of tariffs on Cambodian Indica Rice in the EU market is illegal and unsubstantiated. The success of this case is due to the efforts of the Cambodian Rice Federation and the leadership of H.E. Sok Puthyvuth has worked hard with international lawyers to file a complaint to the European Commission from 2019 until justice is served.

This reflects the correctness of the development of the Cambodian rice sector under the clear development policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia, led by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
